Teleplan Globe AS develops and delivers software solutions to Norwegian and international customers in the field of Public Safety and Defence as well as radio planning in Telecom.
Teleplan Globe develops and market field proven solutions and software that support operational personnel in making good decisions in critical situations where rapid response is important.
Focus areas for software development of Teleplan Globe include advanced geographical map modules, radio planning tools, intelligence systems, as well as command and control systems.
Most products are developed on the Microsoft platform and often have our proprietary mapping system as a central part of the user interface. We also develop mobile solutions, including using cross-platform technology.
Teleplan Globe has a strategic partnership with the Norwegian Defence in the area of Operational Decision Support.

About the position
Our company enjoys significant success in Norway and internationally and is experiencing strong growth. To drive our sales processes forward, we need to strengthen our sales team.
We primarily want an experienced account director as a senior solution seller with experience from the industry, but are also looking for younger sales talents who can imagine creating a career at Teleplan Globe and together with us learn how to succeed with international sales in a Norwegian software house. We therefore encourage both experienced and newly qualified candidates to apply.
The role of the Strategic Account Director is to work as a sales leader for the unique and challenging customer base Teleplan Globe have in the global Defence sector. Our new Strategic Account Director is expected to drive outstanding customer and partner relationships. The role will be accountable for meeting objectives regarding commercial outcomes and delivering world-class customer satisfaction. The Strategic Account Director reports to the Sales and Marketing Director.
A successful candidate can be described as an experienced, self-starting individual, with knowledge of the unique requirements of the Defence sector in Norway as well as across NATO. The candidate will understand how to work with the Product Development Departments and our leadership-team to drive execution and results. With the full team, the Strategic Account Director will lead the definition and execution of the account-strategy. The objective is to grow our Defence business internationally, whilst exceeding our customers’ expectations. Effective and inspirational virtual team leadership will be a core expectation.
Responsibilities
• Owning a portfolio of strategic accounts and being responsible for meeting the defined ambitions and targets
• Responsible for driving the necessary sales and marketing initiatives according to plans and budgets
• Effectively engage and run a large virtual team driving success and results
• Lead the sales processes and be the bid manager when required within the portfolio
• Ensure the roles and responsibilities between sales and delivery organisation are clearly defined to effectively meet the targets
• Take our customers on a journey of digital transformation leveraging our solutions and experience
• Take ownership for the customer experience through all sales activities and ensure success in delivery – together with our team and through all channels available
• Meet or exceed revenue objectives set by the company
• Increase Teleplan Globe's credibility and depth of engagement in the Defence sector
• Engage and successfully scale by leveraging partners in markets and the relevant ecosystem
• Drive opportunity reviews (inclusive of partners)
• Driving creative and continuous engagement with stakeholder through social media channels
• Demonstrating the development of senior executive relationships with our stakeholders
• Ability to leverage the full portfolio of solutions and experience of the Teleplan systems within your defined customer portfolio
Desired background, experience and skills
• Documented success through achievement of commercial objectives and understanding of selling projects and solutions to complex organisations with long selling cycles
• Ability to create and maintain accurate and up-to-date strategic sales account plans
• Understanding of the need to maintain an accurate forecast and healthy pipeline of opportunities
• Experience with managing stakeholders within and outside a company like Teleplan Globe
• Engage with and lead the TPG sales team for the pursuit and chosen strategy
• Knowledge of the Norwegian and international Defence Sector and understanding of the domain within which we operate
• Exemplary track record of high performance in delivering results through structured sales processes
• Proven Executive level relationship skills
• Proven leadership skills and experience
• Experience of highly complex Government organisation environments
• Knowledge of Digital Transformation in Defence context
• Security Clearance is required and will be sponsored by Teleplan Globe
• Strong academic background, preferably a relevant Master’s degree
• Experience in selling projects and solutions from a software company perspective
• Excellent ability to write and communicate in English and Norwegian
• High level of drive for results and motivation to drive new business
• Highly creative thinking and willingness to try new ideas
• Long-term focus, near term results
• Consultative approach and Challenger sales attitude
• Listens well and can champion the customer’s cause within Teleplan Globe
